1678Phillips, Alcoholization, a reducing of any solid matter into an extream fine and subtle powder. 1753Chambers Cycl. Supp., Alcoholization is also used for pulverization.
†2. Refinement to an essence or essential spirit; rectification of a spirit. Obs.
1678Phillips, Alcoholization, in Liquids, is the depriving of Alcohols or Spirits of their flegm or waterish part; so that they consume and fume away with the matter wherein they were dipt. 1721Bailey, Alcoholization, a reducing Bodies to a fine and impalpable Powder; also a freeing of Spirits from Phlegm and waterish Parts. 1753Chambers Cycl.
