Anomœan, a. and n. Theol.|ænəʊˈmiːən| Also Anomean. [f. mod.L. Anomœus, ad. Gr. ἀνόµοιος unlike, dissimilar (f. ἀν- priv. + ὅµοιος like, similar) + -an.] Belonging to, or a member of, an extreme sect of Arians who held that the Father and the Son are unlike in essence: = heteroousian: opp. to Homœan.
