Biosteel, n. Brit. |ˈbʌɪə(ʊ)stiːl|, U.S. |ˈbaɪoʊˌstil| Forms: also with lower-case initial. [‹ bio- comb. form + steel n.1] A proprietary name for: a strong lightweight filamentous material made from biologically produced silk proteins, such as those obtained from the milk of goats into which a spider gene has been introduced.
