cyanicide Metallurgy.|saɪˈænɪsaɪd| [f. cyanide + -cide 1.] Any substance present in an ore or in tailings which consumes the cyanide in the solution used for cyaniding gold or silver, so reducing its effectiveness as a solvent for those metals.
