A holder of the doctrine of the co-existence of two natures, the divine and the human, in Christ: opposed to the Monophysites. Hence Dyophyˈsitic, Dyophyˈsitical a., of or pertaining to Dyophysites; Dyˈophysitism, the doctrine of the Dyophysites.
