† enˈgastrimyth Obs. Also 6 engastromith, 7 (erron. in Dicts. -mich, -imuch). [ad. Fr. engastrimythe, ad. Gr. ἐγγαστρίµυθος, f. ἐν in + γαστρί, dat. of γαστήρ belly + µῦθος speech.] One who appears to speak in the belly, a ventriloquist.
