A synthetic bacteriostatic compound used (usu. as the hydrochloride) in the treatment of tuberculosis; (S,S)-N,N′-ethylenebis(2-aminobutan-1-ol), C₁₀H₂₄N₂O₂ . Often used spec. of the laevoratory isomer.
