[mod.L., f. L. globi-, globus globe n. + -ger carrying + -ina -ine; named by D'Orbigny in 1826.]
A foraminiferous rhizopod, found in immense numbers in deep parts of the ocean.
1847in Craig. 1863Lyell Antiq.
