1. orig. Brit. Chiefly humorous. Designating a (peripheral) design feature intended to give something (originally and chiefly a vehicle) a sporty appearance; freq. in go-faster stripes. Also in extended use: a feature or format intended to make something more attractive or engaging (on a superficial level).
