Goldbach's conjecture Math.
The hypothesis put forward by the German mathematician C. Goldbach (1690–1764) in 1742 (in a letter to a fellow mathematician, Euler) that every even number greater than 2 can be represented as the sum of two primes. Also Goldbach's hypothesis, Goldbach's theorem, etc.
