Any of various azo pigment dyestuffs, many of which are the salts of diazo coupling compounds of β-naphthol and aromatic amino-sulphonic acids. Lithol red, any of various salts of the diazo coupling compound of 2-naphthylamine-1-sulphonic acid with β-naphthol, used as red pigments of moderate colour fastness.
