lunik Astronautics.|ˈl(j)uːnɪk| Also Lunik. [f. L. lūn-a moon + -nik, after sputnik, or ad. Russ. lúnnik (similarly f. Russ. luná moon).] Any of a series of Russian spacecraft sent to or close by the moon.
