1727–52Chambers Cycl. s.v. Green, Mountain Green..is a sort of greenish powder found..among the mountains of Kernausent, Hungary. 1836–41Brande Chem. (ed. 5) 825 The pulverulent variety [of malachite] has been termed chrysocolla and mountain-green.
