‖ octapla|ˈɒktəplə| Also anglicized octaples. [ad. Gr. ὀκταπλᾶ, neuter pl. of ὀκταπλοῦς eight-fold, after hexapla. Cf. mod.F. octaples (Littré).] A text consisting of eight versions, esp. of the Scriptures, in parallel arrangement.
