LXXIV. 557/1 It appears..that the dark red crystals formed on evaporating aqueous solutions of Tc2O7 correspond to Tc2O7.H2O , or to anhydrous pertechnic acid, HTcO4 .1962Q. Rev. Chem. Soc. XVI. 307 Pertechnetic acid is a strong acid, and, like perrhenic acid it can be titrated by using indicators such as methyl red.1984Greenwood & Earnshaw Chem. of Elements (1986) xxiv. 1215 The metals dissolve readily in oxidizing acids such as HNO3 and conc[entrated] H2SO4 and also in bromine water, when ‘pertechnetic’ and ‘perrhenic’ acids ( HMO4 ) are formed.
