prosiphonate, a. Zool.|prəʊˈsaɪfənət| [f. prō, pro-1 1 a + siphon + -ate2 2.] Of a chambered shell: Having the siphonal funnel directed forward, as in the Prosiphonata, a primary group of chambered cephalopods now extinct.
