[Name in one of the western dialects of Ojibwa.]
A. n. Thread, cord, or thong made from raw hide, raw hide cut into strips. Also, a rough pony.
B. adj. ‘Tough, rough’ (Cent. Dict. 1891). Also, cheap, inferior, makeshift.
