[ad. mod.L. Uintatherium, f. the name of the Uinta mountains in Wyoming, U.S.: see *-there.]
Any mammal of the extinct genus Uintatherium, or (more generally) of the extinct order Dinocerata of mainly large, Asian and North American, archaic hoofed herbivores in which the upper incisors were reduced or absent, and the upper canines greatly elongated.
